This tutorial is a walk through project to made a 'pill' with "content", lots of content for lots of "bones".
The principles learned can apply to many types of props. Have fun :-)

I have been asked to share this thing, so others could test an issue I was having with one figure. I will do my best to describe how to build this Test Chamber as I have using Daz Studio 4.6 primitives.

I will do my best in the first few posts to describe how to make the room, set up the lights, and then open this up for questions comments etc.

The biggest deal for me when I was setting this up, was that the textures rendered really quick, and they were Photo-neutral to an extent. So I went with simple maps, tiled on to the surfaces, where I did use them

I have a single thread I stick all my cool maps in, I will provide direct links to the exact post with the needed file to make my current test room. Lights and cams in a second post, or more. Lots of XYZ stuff to jot down.

Shame I don’t know how to do a Scene subset save and share the DUF for this, it would be easier. Tho the room is not that complex. And it will help some to just make it from scratch, to learn how these kinds of things are done.

I am very tempted to recreate this room from scratch again, and make it 80 x 80 ft with a 40 ft ceiling, instead of 40 x 40 ft room with a 20 ft ceiling. It has served incredibly useful over the past several months, and even with a bigger one, I'll still be using this one.

3Delight, using the Daz Default shaders on the walls floor, color cube, etc. I am looking at possible settings for Iray, however they must both be really close if not exactly the same as far as brightness goes at world center. It is a test chamber, after all.

Centaur fix for DS4 Genesis figure:
Since you cannot switch off individual body parts of the Genesis figure in DAZ Studio 4, adamr001 created a pose file to achieve this with transmaps.

Keep in mind that you need the corresponding figures to use these morphs. Within the ZIP-file you will usually find an INJ-Pose to apply the morph to the MillHorse/MillFoal/Charger/MillBigCat plus a transmap with a MAT-Pose. Please read the instructions text-file included in the ZIP-file.

So having collected entirely too many vehicles that I never used in background shots because I was too lazy to stop and pose the drivers... I decided to fix that. :)

This is a collection of 33 poses (each) for Loretta and Lorenzo Lorez that puts them in 14 different Petipet science fiction-y vehicles (you can see a full list in the ReadMe). They are in DazStudio format. I did try to make Poser versions and they're in there, but I'm a little dubious about them -- if someone knows a nice, easy way to make Poser format stuff in Studio 4, please let me know.

Thanks mato for giving me the permission to modify/update mato's Kururu to a general weight-mapped figure for using with DAZ Studio 4.8.

The package contains a modified version of mato's Kururu (くるる) for using with Genesis 3 Female in DAZ Studio 4.8.

It was modified with Blender 3D, DAZ Studio, GIMP and Notepad++.
It works in DAZ Studio 4.8.

It is tested in DAZ Studio 4.8.0.59.

Usage Instruction:
1. Load People -> Genesis 3 Female -> Characters -> KururuBodyG3F
2. Select KururuBodyG3F
3. Load People -> Genesis 3 Female -> Characters -> Anatomy -> KururuHeadG3F
4. Make sure KururuHeadG3F is fitted to KururuBodyG3F

If everything works correctly, the Genesis 3 Female's head will be replaced by Kururu's head.  Noted that the body is morphed too.

Introduction

I created some S Shaped animation paths using the Daz Script script shown below

then i used mcjTransport to create tubes that follow those paths

then i rendered them as 180 800x800 pixels PNGs

I made this latex shader pack for personal use but hope that others might find it useful and fun. Pack includes 16 colors and 12 modifiers.

One of my first "complete" 3d environment sets, the package includes all of the objects you see in the preview and wireframe renders; tree, rocks, gravestones01,02, and a skull model.  The objects together contain 47,832 polygons; 47,850 vertices (99.6% quad polygons, 0.3% triangles, 0 ngons).  All models have been carefully UV unwrapped, with minimal texture distortion.  There are 18 high resolution maps included in this set (4096 x 4096 px); each object containing it's own color, specular, and normal maps.  It is highly recommended to use the normal maps with your own custom materials for optimum render detail.

The Daz files have been scaled to import perfectly in Daz|Studio 4.x., and should also import in an approximate location and size in Poser.  See the import instructions below for detailed information on how to import the models in this set to the DAZ Studio software.  All example renders were done with the Iray render engine, in Daz Studio, after importing the models with the recommended settings.

The OBJ files included in the DAZ_OBJ folder were exported with a scale conversion that will allow the object to load each object with appropriate scaling into Daz Studio 4.x and above, with Poser import preset settings, or Poser 9 and above. To import this file into Daz Studio 4.x; first, select File > Import, and navigate to the Daz_OBJ folder.  Choose a file.  In the OBJImportOptions dialogue box, be sure to select the Poser (1 Unit = 8 Ft) Preset option in the "From:" dropdown menu.  Scale should be set to 24384% automatically.  If not, then please enter that value into the Scale field.  Keep the Axis Conversion X=X, Y=Y, and Z=Z, with NO checkboxes in the Invert Direction options.  Be sure Read Groups, UV Coordinates, Surfaces, and Material Library (.mtl) are all checked.  The objects are designed to import in place on a default empty scene environment.  Some, but not all, of the included maps may load with each object, but you will be required to customize your materials for each object, and adjust each map manually, for best results.  I recommend rendering with the new Iray render engine.

On my site you can find a script which lets Daz Studio users export
scenes and render them in Blender, including the use of the Blender Cycles renderer

the Daz script exports the scene as an .obj file and creates a python script which is then
used by Blender to load the .obj (scene) and do all the tedious chores needed to make
the scene render correctly.

Since Carrara users also want to render scenes in Blender/Cycles i wrote a blender-python script
which uses the same services as the Daz Studio version : a kit of blender python scripts named mcjBlendBot )
