CL_BackDropLauncher : Load backdrop images directly from the content libray.

Load your backdrop images directly from within the Daz Studio Content Library with the CL_BackDropLauncher script !
This script generates companion-scripts for image files that are by default not visible in the content library and renders thumbnails for them.
From now on you can have your backgrounds right there in your content library and load them as a backdrop in Daz Studio with just one double-click. The generated scripts will also adjust the render dimensions and aspect ratio to match the backdrop !
You can easily add extra extensions in the script if your favourite filetype is not included, enable/disable the creation of thumbnails, or prevent the comapnion scripts from adjusting the aspect ratio and render dimensions.

1. Load the CL_BackDropLauncher script in the DS Script IDE or add it to your menu as a custom action.
2. Browse in the Content Library (Daz Studio Formats) to the folder containing the backdrop images.
3. Run the CL_BackDropLauncher from the menu, hotkey, toolbar, ... that you set up in step 1. (or press F5 if you loaded it in the Script IDE)
4. Enjoy... :)

Here you will find ALL of my Free items, sorted into Categories, so they are easier to find. They all have Metadata added, so they should appear in the Smart Content pane.

New items will only be added here from now on, and the zips that are on ShareCG will eventually be removed, but the links will remain.

You will need to register to be able to download, comment etc.

a program that allow's you to create your own room's quick and easy for interior designing, but also export's to collada so the geometry room's are in scale with Daz charector's after an import. it can also help converting 3ds model's to fbx by just double clicking on the 3ds file and then exporting to fbx, and also export sketchup warehouse model's used

you need to texture everything in p.Con planner to add UV map's if you want to add custom Iray shader's in Daz

Blobby Cartoon Character

Paul Krassner Memorial Realist Blob

Made in Blender for Daz Studio, but .obj version included.

The model has some flexibility in pose and expression, by means of 10 versions as scene subsets, 5 face versions as texture presets, and aimable eyes.

Looks like Mr. Potatohead, or a pear with a face, but...

In real life, Realist Blob is a mascot character for an obscure magazine produced by Paul Krassner, called "The Realist", that ran from 1958 to 2001.

NOTE: I made the Realist Blob model in August of 2019, a month after Paul Krassner died. But this is just a coincidence. I had no idea Krassner had recently died until after I made the model. Regardless, I'd like the model to be a kind of memorial tribute to Krassner.

My research indicates that Realist Blob was drawn by John Francis Putnam, a staff artist with "Mad Magazine" who also contributed to "The Realist". The name "Realist Blob" is my own idea, as I don't know whether this mascot character was ever given an official name.

So starting where we left off, here are the Autofit Clones - re-up, no changes made. Assist in making those long sleeved, or pant leg items fit the various figures better.

Made another texturing aid, this one is for G8's fingernails.

Import mesh into whichever paint texturing program you use and paint away :-)

The template's uv was made to match that of G8's fingernails, it is mesh that I made in Hexagon You may do what you want with the textures you create using it

Yes, I make a few ;-)

This week there is the main one for Making V4/M4 autofit clones for the G8 figures. One requires the V4/M4 shapes for Genesis sold in the store. I show how to use a hidden clone as well as how to use a shape [after all, not all figures have clones].

The other two are butterfly tutorials, spin offs from the main one.

If I have made any glaring boo-boos, kindly send me a PM. Little difficult proof reading one's own work.

Just a quick heads up.

I just uploaded my second set of miscellanous props to ShareCG. This time there are 2 bracelets, 2 pendants, and four architectural support colums. The pendants do not have chains however. The first set had a trivit, a toy cannon, a battle axe (of sorts), 4 pendants, and 4 architectural support columns. Promo picts are available on the site.

All of them were done in 4.11 and are shaded for IRAY. Other shaders can be applied of course. I also included obj and mtl files that can be used.

Hope you will find a use for them.

some free software to generate brick wall and tile textures from a single brick or tile, with multiple bricks or tiles being picked on random if multiple files are selected

 

if your computer is good enough, then the maximum texture size which can be generated is 16384x16384
