 While doing a search for Space: 1999 stuff, I came across these links.

A good chunk of it looks to be in .3ds and lightwave formats, although there look to be a few in 'Daz friendly' formats.

Some UFO/S.H.A.D.O stuff has been shared here already in another thread posted by JoEtzold.

Gerry Anderson was da bomb back in my childhood days.  I remember well watching U.F.O. and Space: 1999 as a kid, and of course the Thunderbirds!

I'd love to see a lot of this stuff in Daz!

Ruined City 2: Sci-Fi - The Accessory Pack

(RC-2) Ruined City 2: Sci-fi was meant to be the follow up for the popular Ruined City set. Much like the 1st city set, the idea was that most of the things in RC-2 would come in 2 flavours. One "clean" and one "trashed" model.

But as 3d people know, sometimes projects just don't work out, things get consigned to a dusty corner of our hard drives and get forgotten about it. Which is what happened here, until by luck these models where re-discovered.

Obviously this isn't a complete ruined city, but instead all the stuff that was modelled from the original concept. Some of it was going to be free, some would've included in a product. So ladies, gentleman and creatures of all shapes and hues, for your rendering pleaure is this little lot for free!...

2 Working Figures (.CR2/Poser Figures)- with matching busted up props.

Alien SuperLoo - Ever wonder what happen if a alien farts :)

An urban subway halt in clean and trashed flavours.

2 BillBoard Stands and 4 Billboards. Some are busted up, some have textures and some you can add your own designs too.Just make a template using the free LithUnwrap, or any commerical UVmapping software, and colour away!

mcjPathTube script - create tubes that follow a node's path D|S 1/2/3/4+

WARNING : In very rare circumstances this script may produce a corrupt .obj file
and when Daz Studio will attempt to load that file IT WILL CRASH,
so save your work before using this script

usually when i want to visualize a path in daz studio i use the mcjTracePath script and the mcjTracer plugin

when i want to make sinuous tubes i use mcjRibbons or mcjTransport

there's a few other of my scripts which let you create/fashion tubes

this script here lets you make a simple tube from a node path

( simple but very well UV mapped )

you select a node

set the Daz studio Timeline playrange to the start and end of your moving node's trip

set the number of sides for your tube

press a button and bam a sinuous tube that precisely follows your node's path appears

caveat is that, unless i fix the maths, this only works well for moderately horizontal paths
( because the transport frame relies on the (0,1,0) vector and the node-movement vector

to be on the safe side i'll probably add a normals-inversion and UV-U mirror option

oh and why not both UV-U and UV-V

Free Texture set for the JeanZ Skirt Outfit for Genesis 3 Females

In celebration of the release of my latest out and my birthday here is a free texture for the JeanZ Skirt Outfit for Genesis 3 Females.  A brown cotton/canvas for the JeanZ skirt and blue spandex for the blouse.  File includes presets for the skirt, blouse, buckle and belt.  This is IRAY only for DAZ Studios Iray render.  Is compatible with the updated version of the JeanZ Skirt for Genesis and Genesis 2.  Buttons preset will not work with the older blouse.

Welcome in the S.H.A.D.O. thread dedicated to the 70th TV show UFO.

Attention ! Hint !! On the old forum archive the links to embedded images are broken. Thank you DAZ ! If you want to see that images you may play the manual wizard to display them by this following doings:
1. Find such a line in the text

3. open a new browser window
4. and past the the copied portion behind the first part of the archive URL

It's just easy ... especially for one image ... Maybe someone may solve this also later. Otherwise without the images the old forum archive might be more or less worthless ...


All links from the old site about UFO stuff will be found here in the heading message (plus the newly added stuff).
All Stuff is Poser-ready but should work also in D/S except that it might be neccessary to adjust the textures cause often poser procedurals are used. If not other named the stuff matches V4 and/or M4.

For stuff posted under UFO but not being UFO I will set up new threads e.g.:

So then we have the things sorted correctly.

Cause it seems to be impossible to push images between text line (for the moment??) all images can be found at the end of the postings. And the sorting of the images is following the naming or other mysteries. So sorry for some mismatches. Maybe this can be changed later (?).

Mii dog free walk cycle poses

So I don't really post/share anything here. I usually just dl little dumb free things cause I use daz to help me set scenes for my drawings other than that I don't use the site much. But I'm doing a project that needed a dog walk cycle and after looking I for a good week I wanst able to find one. So I made one. It's a little choppy and every pose is it's own .duf (because saving the poses as an animation wouldnt work for some reason). But since I saw others needed this I figured I'd give it out for people to use. just apply every pose on a new frame and always go back to 1 and it works well. I'ma try to do a run too, as well as a run walk for the big cat.

Pose and animation conversion for multiple generations of DAZ figures

In the attached ZIP file, I've included a script called SG Copy Pose Animated.dsa that uses rsg's "Updated: Daz Studio Posing Scripts (now for G3F)" available on sharecg.com.

rsg's "Fix Pose" scripts support the copying of poses as follows:

  • A3 to V6 and V7
  • M4 to M5, M6 and M7
  • V4 to V5, V6 and V7
  • V6 to V7

It also includes a FixPoseGenerator.dsa script to provide support for more pairs.

My script automatically determines the name of the script, given rsg's naming convention, and then either runs that script on the two selected figures for the current frame or the entire animation range.

The attached ZIP file includes a README, the script and its icon.

The basic instructions for using my script are:

  1. Load an older figure, if necessary.
  2. Animate the older figure in some fashion (poses, animated poses, aniblocks, etc.).
  3. Load a newer figure, if necessary.
  4. Click on the older figure, the animation/pose source.
  5. CONTROL click on the newer figure, the animation/pose target.
  6. Launch the SG Copy Pose Animated.dsa script.

You may also be able to take animations/poses from newer figures to older figures, but rsg didn't provide scripts and I had no need so didn't try to generate the scripts for testing.

V4 clothing on G3F - tutorial

I did a little test to get V4 clothing on G3F.

I tried with a couple of items and it seem to work.

It might require 'Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female', can't remember if auto fit V4 to G2F is standard.

Some milkshake props for your renders (Iray materials only). Separate props down to the cherry and I've also supplied grouped scene subsets for each kind of milkshake in the promo images. *Some materials use displacement.
