Included are the OBJ's to import into any program that supports OBJ's and the native Blender file which I used LuxRender to render in. Sorry about no Cycles, I just don't have time to learn it right now - I mean really, last time I posted was over a year ago, and I'm not about to get on the View or Dr. Phill to explain this to you but you have this talk show set so you can form your own opinions.

Included with the OBJ's are each individual piece of the set, the entire studio without the furnishings (if you want to add the table and chairs separate) and the whole thing as one big mess.

I do not have any 3D program other than Blender on this machine and I was unable to test it outside of Blender - and I really didn't test it too hard in blender.

The OBJ’s are listed in this post somewhere.

So, I've been working on textures for different eyes for Cookie! & Chip! Below is a preview of the four styles I've done so far (painted). I'm planning on creating at least 4 different eye colors for each (if you have a request for an eye color, feel free to comment). I'm also playing around with masks to use emission on the eyes via geoshells. Still have to figure out how to save and package this for you guys. My guess is to save them as material presents? Any info on this would help :)

Here's another freebie thats escaped from the dark recesses of my hard drive. This time the "Proof of Concept" Set for a product. Obviously now free :) 

The original idea behind this one was a script (written in Perl By Kastaway) would create a series of prop walls, arches, columns and roofs. The really clever part was that the script would create meshes where each part had a random and unique pattern of modelled rocks or bricks.

The second design aspect is each prop only has 2 material zones [walls/rock] or [mortar/brick], which reduces system load and allows the artist to easily apply high or low resolution textures (lo-res supplied). Which also (as hown in image 2) gives the artist the abilty to make very quick changes. 

Note: If you render closeups or in high resolution, for best results replace the low/med-res textures supplied in this freebie with app specfic shaders or high res maps.

In the attached ZIP file, I've included a script called SG Copy Pose Animated.dsa that uses rsg's "Updated: Daz Studio Posing Scripts (now for G3F)" available on sharecg.com.

rsg's "Fix Pose" scripts support the copying of poses as follows:

• A3 to V6 and V7
• M4 to M5, M6 and M7
• V4 to V5, V6 and V7
• V6 to V7

It also includes a FixPoseGenerator.dsa script to provide support for more pairs.

My script automatically determines the name of the script, given rsg's naming convention, and then either runs that script on the two selected figures for the current frame or the entire animation range.

The attached ZIP file includes a README, the script and its icon.

The basic instructions for using my script are:

1. Load an older figure, if necessary.
2. Animate the older figure in some fashion (poses, animated poses, aniblocks, etc.).
3. Load a newer figure, if necessary.
4. Click on the older figure, the animation/pose source.
5. CONTROL click on the newer figure, the animation/pose target.
6. Launch the SG Copy Pose Animated.dsa script.

You may also be able to take animations/poses from newer figures to older figures, but rsg didn't provide scripts and I had no need so didn't try to generate the scripts for testing.

Hello friends. Long have I been a member of this community, downloading other people's freebies and thinking I could never possibly make anything of the like. Well friends, that has changed. I decided to learn Blender so I could give back as a thanks for all the nice free things I've gotten in the past.

I am still in the beginning stages of modeling, but I would like to start a thread for the things I make and put up. For my first offerings, I give you: a Teapot with a cup and scaucer and a Dining table and Chair. The teapot and cup are just obj and mtl files, not uvmapped, but look nice in Iray or 3dl with whatever shader you may use. The Dining set, is uvmapped and textured and properly packaged up to be used in DS 4.8 and higher. The material are set up for Iray, but I'm sure with tweaking could be used in 3dl with no trouble.

As you can see from the promos, both offerings are scaled properly to work with DAZ figures. Please enjoy these offerings and watch this space for more.

Hello everyone. Time and time again, life has given me lemons,one could say but i am back once again with new free faces for V4 and M4. I am gonna try to make for the new Gen of characters too, if i ever have the time :)  Here are a feww renders of the characters i'm working on. As usual, they are celeb lookalikes :)

The main space-fighter from Buck Rogers, now in DAZ Studio format: the Earth Defense Force Starfighter.

Product Features:
* Includes one DAZ Prop (dsf, duf/ png), at 18,324 polygons.
* Canopy can open front-to-back with a dial on the Body.
* Includes 2 position poses:
- InFlight: level and with front landing gear hidden.
- Landed: angled and with front landing gear showing.
* Front landing gear can not move, but it can be hidden and shown.

I am working on the current NVidea MDL vMaterial Library and setting it up as DazStudio Shaders.
If you look at the Shader Mixer and ponder what all those bricks do and how to link them together, this is for you.
The FIRST set of 36 shaders is done and up at

This is pretty extensive as some MDL files actually have MULTIPLE set ups in them. But I am slugging through it and plan to have a set of 36 done and up every 1-3 days, depending on my mood and how long I can sit at my desk.

NOTE:

To use these shaders you MUST download and install the NVIDIA vMaterials located at:

https://developer.nvidia.com/vmaterials

If you do not have it installed all ready the vMaterials installer will prompt you to install the MDL Exchange.

The default install locations for these are:

   vMaterials: C:\Users\(user)\Documents\mdl

   MDL Exchange: C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\mdl

Once you have vMaterials installed you have 2 options in DazStudio to get them functioning.

Option 1:
Move the vMaterials folder from its default location to DazStudio.
C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\shaders\iray\nvidia (This is the default folder that D|S has older MDLs installed in.)

Option 2:
Open DAZ Studio Shader Mixer
goto
Edit -> MDL Directory Manager
add C:\Users\(user)\Documents\mdl
to the Base Paths

Thanks to Kendall Sears for providing hsoting that doesn't require users to have an account, as 4Shared now does.


This script will (usually) fix files that throw the Duplicate IDs error in DAZ Studio 4.5. I have found one that didn't get fixed, which had a very odd structure, and another couple of items had errors that stopped it from working but it worked on everything else I tried. You should note, however, that many files at DAZ have already had the fix applied (or have been fixed manually) so you may want to reset your downloads on those.


It's simple to use - I'd make it a custom action, or open it with File>Merge, while viewing the folder with the content in the Content Library pane - that way the file selector will open in the right place. Select one or more files in the folder, click Accept, and it will do its thing. Don't go looking for files in the \data folder - the script expects to be given user files, usually in \People\Genesis\some folder, and will then find the data files from there. The script creates a .bak file for each file it edits - one in the library folder, one in the \daat folder, so that you can go back if it fails. If you do a lot of conversions and they are working you might want to use the OS search to find and remove the .bak files.

The Point At command is by far the easiest way to control Genesis' eyes, but does not move the eyelids, leading to unnatural looking results. Running this script in Daz Studio will dial in the appropriate amount of eyelid movement via the Eyes Up-Down Pose Control. (applies to all selected genesis-figures)

Whipped these up in Blender for timmins.william, but figured I'd release them into the wild.

Description:
Genesis and Genesis 2 figures load with their uvs stacked by default. This set includes new uv sets for Genesis Base Female and Male and Genesis 2 Base Female and Male to convert their uvs to UDIM, which can then be exported out to a 3D painting app such as 3D Coat, Mudbox, and Mari.
